About

At Talley-O Design we offer fresh, forward thinking design for our clients. We focus our entire team on each project, start to finish. We believe in consistent and direct communication to navigate successfully through the design process.

After leaving the VIA Agency with our combined design and management experience, co-founders Liza Sperry and Rachel Taylor formed Talley-O Design. We wanted to operate on a smaller scale, so that we could provide each of our clients the dedicated attention their projects need. As our business has expanded we’ve grown our team to include accomplished strategists, writers and designers.

With a combined 50+ years of experience, our team has the background and knowhow to take on challenging marketing strategy projects and implement beautiful design. We have brand development expertise in all of the following areas: information design, advertising, brochure and print design, magazine and publishing design, CD cover/booklet design, book design, set design, in-store merchandising displays and graphics, outdoor billboards and displays, and web/online design.

As a smaller firm, we are able to provide flexibility and direct service. Without the trappings of a larger agency, we are able to dedicate ourselves 100% to the project at hand and deliver clear and thoughtful design. We are small but mighty and motivated, able to provide flexibility and direct service.

Where does the fox come from? Tally-ho is a very old traditional cry made by huntsman to tell others game has been sighted. It was first used in fox-hunting during the 19th century. Also, we just like foxes.

Kathleen Parr Senior Copywriter A veteran of New York ad agencies and The VIA Agency, Kathleen’s ability to craft engaging communications helps Talley-O clients tell their stories cohesively and compellingly. Past work includes branding and new product concepts for Neutrogena and Nivea, sales collateral and press kits for Clairol and Revlon, plus TV, radio and digital for Samsung, Popsicle, People’s United Bank and Golden Corral. Kathleen and her husband, George, moved to Maine 30 years ago to raise a family. Their two adult sons were born at Maine Med, but the parents were advised by a Down Easter that “a cat can have her kittens in the oven, but it don’t make ‘em biscuits.” Nevertheless, as folks from away and first generation natives, they’re all here to stay.
